The government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria appealed to the heads of states and parliaments of democratic countries. In the appeal, it requests to the heads and MPs of the democratic countries not to accept the occupation of the Republic of Ichkeria by the Russian Federation and to condemn the genocide of the Chechen people.

Alexei Goncharenko, the founder of the inter-factional deputy group “For a Free Caucasus” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, submitted to the Ukrainian parliament a draft resolution on the recognition of the genocide of the Circassian (Adyghe) people during the Caucasian War of 1763-1864.
Deputy Alexey Goncharenko together with his colleague Musa Magomedov presented to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a draft resolution on the recognition of the state sovereignty of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
The Ukraine Support Platform for Democracy supports this initiative of Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko and calls on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt the resolution.
